rare and distinctive honey is recognized by its light color and sweet herbal
flavor.
Of
the 6500 flowering species in the mountains, the Black Button Sage produces the
finest nectar.
In
the spring, the Black Button Sage blooms for only three months. There is a four week span where the honey
bees concentrate their nectar gathering efforts on this plant alone.
One
out of every five years, we are blessed with the amount of rain necessary to
make this plant harvestable.
